Johnny is the perfect button-on-the-shoulder romper. Simple in design, it has both center front and back seams and side seams for a better fit. The romper can be short or long, and the crotch can be finished with snaps. A video is available online for help with leg bottoms (see below). Johnny can be made smocked or unsmocked. The smocking design shown on the sample is Primarily Colors by Little Memories. Pattern for a shirt and a blouse is included, as is an optional patch pocket on the front with pattern for a dog appliqu̩e.

This pattern is out of print for the time being, so I got one called Charlie instead. Children's Corner patters are fantastic. They are sized consistently, and go together smoothly.
